Our ethic & environmental manifesto
It is our firm and proud dedication to add something truly positive to our city in every sense — personally, culturally, dynamically, economically, esthetically and, most certainly, environmentally. Ours will be a contemporary luxury hotel with a fair, warm and humane soul and character, where our guests will love to stay and our staff will enjoy working. This ambitious commitment will be reflected in everything we do, from the menus in our restaurants and bars, to the materials and products used in our rooms and public spaces and the events and activities we will offer to our guests and to the public — and of course in our holistic, thoroughly thought through environmental policy.
Working only with environmentally sound and durable high quality products, mostly in natural materials, is a central part of this policy. As far as possible, we will use locally produced materials, food ingredients and products*. Our environmental policy also includes state-of-the-art environmentally friendly solutions for such crucial hotel functions as heating, air conditioning and climate control, laundry, garbage disposal, kitchen routines and transportation.
From day one, the entire operations of Nobis Hotel will be eco-labeled with the respected Nordic Swan symbol for environmentally sound products and services — proof as good as any for the sincerity in our pursuit. However, we will be far from satisfied with this. We know that a serious and honest ambition of contributing something positive to our environment is a commitment that requires constant updating, education, development and refinement. This is a long-term endeavor that we are not just ready but eager to undertake.
*We will follow this policy as long as it doesn't affect quality negatively — alas, when equally good or better products can be found in our local market. For our Italian restaurant, as well as for other parts of our operation, of course imports will also be necessary. In these cases too, however, we will invest great effort in securing the most environmentally sound solutions available.
