Aperitivo at Bistro Nobis
The tradition to take an aperitif prior to dinner has a long history in Mediterranean countries. Even if the idea to take an alcoholic drink before a meal can be traced back to ancient Egypt, it wasn’t before around 1786 when Antonio Benedetto Carpano invented Vermouth in Turin that Italian Aperitivo culture was born. Traditionally, Aperitivo is served with bitter drinks such as Vermouth or Amaro, but Prosecco, Campari or its non-alcoholic alternative SanBitter are equally popular. An important part of Aperitivo are small salty snacks such as olives, foccaccia or some dried ham which are meant to contribute saltiness and prepare your stomach for the dinner to come.
At Nobis Hotel Bistro, we celebrate this tradition between 3 and 6pm, welcome to a genuine part of Italian lifestyle !
