Rooms & suites
Ola Rune, Claesson Koivisto Rune:
"The feeling in the rooms will be peaceful, soothing and sophisticated, with calm materials and a mellow color scale, enriched with pleasant surprises tucked away. We have selected mainly wholesome, natural materials that will age with grace, such as various wools, wood, stone, leather and glass. The quality is meticulous, both in shapes and in functions. The rooms are luxurious, but in an honest, no-nonsense way, devoid of standard luxury gimmicks such as gold and velvet. There is no cheating, no tricks. The sense of luxury comes from optimal comfort and function, and a cool, sophisticated ambiance, without excesses. There are quite a few smaller rooms, but here we have worked with the generous ceiling height to still create a sense of space and air. The lighting is elaborate and a most important part of the rooms' atmosphere. The bathrooms are endowed with an added sense of luxury, plated with white Carrara marble from floor to ceiling."
"The suites each have really different and individual characters, which is nice. The rooms in the suites in themselves are beautiful, with wonderful 19th-century details. We've added a razor sharp modern edge to the interiors, with a variety of different contemporary furniture, contrasting the traditional settings. The challenge has been to create suites that will work for both professional and romantic purposes — for business meetings and lovers' weekends alike. I think we've succeeded in this. The master suite in particular will be something quite special — a true modern boudoir. The lighting in the suites is, of course, even more elaborate and crafted than that in the rooms."
